RIP Jim McBride

Jim McBride, a highly successful songwriter whose credits included Alan Jackson’s hit “Chattahoochee” has passed away.

McBride, an inductee into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, wrote hits for Conway Twitty. Johnny Lee, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Cochran and Wade Hayes, but his greatest successes were with Jackson, a then-emerging country artists.

Together the two wrote “Chasing that Neon Rainbow” and “Chattahoochee,” songs that made Jackson a star in country music.
