Now in its 9th anniversary year, Americana One is the successor to Sun209 and Americana Music News, two earlier iterations devoted to news and reviews of Americana, folk, country, rock and reissues of all sorts.
Today Americana One is a multi-platform content creator, with programming on radio, online and via podcast.
Americana One is a radio show.
Americana One’s flagship station is WMOT Roots Radio, one of the nation’s foremost America music stations, based in Murfreesboro, TN, just outside of Nashville. WMOT is 100,000 watts strong, reaching a three-state area.

The Americana One podcast features the best interviews from our radio show, plus bonus content. Recent guests have included Kim Richey, Darrell Scott, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Steve Poltz and Carlene Carter. The podcast is free of charge and available on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play and many more podcast outlets.
Americana One is a web and mobile site.
The online version of America One continues to cover concerts and new releases, plus the best of our radio show and podcast. You’ll also find Americana One content on Twitter (25,000 strong), Facebook and the America One YouTube channel.
Submissions and review copies
You can reach us at americanaone@comcast.net. Our mailing address is Ken Paulson
1301 East Main Street, MTSU Box 267, Murfreesboro, TN 37132
We welcome review copies, but prefer CDs to digital downloads. We like seeing the physical product and liner notes, and CDs are always top of mind when we grab music to listen to in the car.
Important: We receive a large number of music submissions, and we have limited staff. That means we review about 5 percent of what we receive. We do try listen to every CD that crosses our desks. Please don’t send us links to “singles,” streamed music or videos. Our focus, as you know from our radio show and podcast, is on full-length releases and interviews with established artists.
